Channeling the brutal technique of Phil Anselmo and the undeniable charisma of Dio, he grips the crowd with a resonant, powerfully projected tone through his Electro-Voice ND96. He thrives on feeding off a chaotic pit and pushing himself to the absolute physical limit on stage. For Chainz, heavy music is the ultimate release valve for stress and anxiety, but above all else: it just fucking rips.
G SANCHEZ
Guitars & Production
The sonic architect behind Devil's Gate. Having played for literally as long as he can remember, he crafts the band's dystopian, heavy soundscapes in the studio while delivering pure, high-gain "chug-ilicious Texas Beef" on stage. Armed with Schecter guitars, a Line 6 Helix, and massive Mesa/Boogie rigs, his playing is heavily influenced by his dad, EVH, and Texas legend Dimebag Darrell. He’s the kind of unrelenting player who will snap a string on a Floyd Rose mid-set, rig it back together with a bass string, and keep the show rolling. Why does he play heavy music? "I don't know any better!"

The engine behind Devil's Gate. With 25 years behind the kit, Felix channels the relentless energy of legends like Vinnie Paul and Joey Jordison to drive the band's rhythm section. Armed with Ludwig brass snares and Tama Iron Cobra pedals, he delivers a punishingly loud, punchy, and tight tone. Having played across multiple genres, he brings pure attitude to every set, especially when blasting through the sick, heavy grooves of "V.E.I.L." For Felix, nothing on earth compares to the raw, unapologetic chaos of a heavy metal show.
